Hey friends! Doesn't this picture make you smile? I love to get together with my girlfriends and talk about all that "stuff" we do...one of my favorite things! Just thought I would share this blog site with you...I found it on the advice of another friend, and I just LOVE it! She has the coolest pictures on her site, and I love her style!
I think this one is the coolest! I bet canning this way would be a blast, and would make the time and mess go by so much quicker! It does get a little quiet and boring alone! I love the idea of women bonding this way...and to think that there was a time that this was the norm in society...ahhh, would have loved to have been there. I am a firm believer in the fact that women of this day were much stronger in mind and body than we are today...they had to be in order to survive. Things that were nothing to them seem overwhelming to us girls these days. I think there are alot of lessons to be learned from looking back. I have a picture hanging in my kitchen of my Grandmother and the other ladies in our family in 1942...on those days when I am feeling particularly wimpy, I am reminded that my life is pretty easy! They didn't even begin to have all of the modern conveniences that we have today, and yet they made their homes welcoming, their meals delish and their children and husbands happy by showing their love through hard work and faith.
So, if you get a chance, check out www.sugarpiefarmhouse.com and enjoy! She has some cool product reviews on there, as well as cute ideas she uses in her home. Here's to us girls!
I have canned Green Beans with my cousin the last 2 yrs and it makes the tiem go by some much faster and it's fun!! Cindy Johnson wanted me to get some ladies together to all can together so that some can learn that didn't have someone to teach them but I don't think I will be doing that this summer. It will be hard enough for me to fit all the canning in that I want and will need to do!! I can't wait to start though!!
